God has been at work in your neighborhood since the very beginning. And now, you have the awesome privilege to join God in His mission to love & be involved in the lives of your neighbors as you walk & pray for them. Prayer walking is great for individuals & families with children of all ages. Practice social distancing as you walk & encounter others, & wash your hands before you leave & when you return home. Pray with God’s Help.

Invite the Spirit of God to accompany you, guiding your steps & your words.

Be attentive during moments of silence, allowing the Holy Spirit to help you pray in line with His heart.

In confidence of God’s unfolding purpose which includes your preparation prayer, don’t look to initiate gospel conversations during your prayer-walk. Pray for God to open doors of communication.

Explain what you're doing to inquirers: “We’re praying God’s blessing on the neighborhood. Are there specific ways we can pray for you or others?”

Be persistent. Try prayer-walking the same areas near your home in a regular way. You’ll often find that your prayers deepen & your concern & awareness of God’s heart for people in it.
Pray with a Partner.

You can prayer-walk alone, & a lot of people do, but may find your prayers more focused when expressed with a friend (walking 6 ft apart). Pray audibly for clarity & better agreement. As you finish, discuss what you thought & perceived. In closing, pray together about those things.
